For over 25 years, our Certified Orthotists have been assessing and designing specialized custom orthoses (braces and splints) for all body parts including Foot Orthotics, Ankle Foot Orthoses (AFO), Knee Ankle Foot Orthoses, Cranial remolding helmets and more.
The designs are made specifically for each individual with consideration of many factors including medical requirements, lifestyle and use. Our treatments work to provide correction, protection, improved alignment and function to ultimately help you find your personal best.
Patient/Client Services
Custom Orthotic Design Group Ltd. provides clinical services to assess, design, manufacture, fit and repair custom made orthoses, orthopaedic appliances, braces, splints, compression stockings and garments and durable medical goods.
Orthopaedic Shoes and Bracing
The retail location at The Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga offers orthopaedic and comfort shoes and prefabricated braces and splints. The Bracing and Orthotic Centre staff are experienced in shoe selection and fitting for most clients and hard to fit foot types.
Clinic appointments are available for assessments and professional care.
Professional Services
Our Certified Orthotists collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners and allied health care professionals to assess and determine treatment plans for patients with regard to orthotic intervention.
Custom Lab
Our Registered Orthotic Technicians fabricate custom orthoses and bracing based on specific prescriptions by qualified health care professionals using a variety of orthopaedic grade materials based on casts, impressions and/or measurements of the patient.
All Certified Orthotists have completed a minimum of 8 years of education; two year post graduate clinical education in Orthotics as well as a two year residency before they are able to write the Canadian Board Certification Examinations. Only after completing the Canadian Board Examinations are Orthotists able to use the designation CO(c).
In addition to our clinical staff, we have the technical expertise of a Canadian Board Registered Technician in Orthotics RTO(c). This is additional assurance to our community that we are providing an exceptional level of quality of care.

Our Referral Form is available in printable PDF or through our online form. Patients can be referred directly to us or you can provide information to the patient to call us.
Our Certified Orthotists assess and determine treatment plans for patients with regard to orthotic intervention. Recommendations for appropriate interventions including bracing, footwear and other health care professional involvement are made in the form of comprehensive reports that are prepared for health care professionals, insurance claims and legal purposes.
Our Certified Orthotists provide educational sessions and inservices for healthcare professionals and the general public.
